Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Maun to the Okavango Delta
Meet your professional guide in Maun, transfer to the boat station by 4×4 and continue by motorboat into the Okavango Delta. Stop for a packed lunch, settle into camp and, if time and conditions permit, enjoy an evening activity before dinner.
Day 2: Mokoro Excursions and Guided Walks
After breakfast, travel by mokoro with your guide and local polers before exploring an island on foot. Look for tracks, birds and wildlife while learning how animals use the Delta’s waterways and dry land.
Return for brunch and a rest, then head out for another afternoon mokoro excursion or walk. Activities may change with water levels, weather and safety conditions.
Day 3: Delta Walk and Transfer to Moremi
Begin with a final guided walk in the Delta before returning to Maun by boat. Continue to Moremi Game Reserve in a safari-equipped vehicle, with possible wildlife encounters along the approximately three-hour drive.
Arrive for dinner and the first of three nights in Moremi, preferably from one established camp base where arrangements allow.
Day 4: Moremi Morning and Afternoon Game Drives
Explore Moremi early, when wildlife is often more active. Search for elephants, buffalo, antelope, predators and birdlife across the reserve’s floodplains and woodland.
Return for brunch, a bush shower and rest before afternoon tea and a second game drive. End the day with dinner at camp.
Day 5: Full-Day Moremi Exploration
Leave after a light breakfast for a full day exploring another part of Moremi, travelling towards Xakanaxa and Xini. The longer route opens more habitats and creates additional opportunities for wildlife observation and photography.
Enjoy a packed brunch at a scenic stop before continuing through the reserve. Return in the evening for a warm shower, fireside stories and a freshly prepared dinner.
Day 6: Moremi to Maun
After breakfast, pack and begin the journey back to Maun through Moremi. Stop for a packed brunch en route before drop-off at Maun Airport or your Maun accommodation.
