Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Maun to the Okavango Delta
Meet your guide at Maun Airport or your Maun accommodation, receive a safari briefing and transfer by 4×4 to the boat station. Board a motorboat for the journey into the Okavango Delta, with opportunities to observe birds and wildlife along the waterways.
Stop for a packed lunch before continuing to camp. Depending on arrival time and local conditions, enjoy an evening activity before dinner beside the water.
Day 2: Mokoro Excursion and Guided Nature Walk
After an early breakfast, travel by mokoro with your guide and local polers, then explore an island on foot. Your guide will interpret animal tracks, plants and birdlife while you look for species such as kudu, impala and wildebeest.
Return to camp for brunch and a rest, then head out for another afternoon mokoro excursion or guided walk. All water activities depend on water levels, weather and the guide’s safety assessment. Dinner is served back at camp.
Day 3: Delta Wildlife and Xaxaba Cultural Visit
Begin with another mokoro journey and guided walk as the Delta comes to life. After brunch and time to rest, travel by mokoro towards Xaxaba for a respectful community visit and an introduction to local basket weaving.
Along the way, watch for elephants near the water, reptiles and distinctive Delta birds such as the hamerkop. Return to camp for dinner and a final evening in the wetland wilderness.
Day 4: Okavango Delta to Maun
Enjoy a light breakfast overlooking the Delta before beginning the boat journey back to Maun. The transfer is part of the experience, with changing scenery and possible wildlife encounters along the channels. Stop for a light brunch before the safari ends in Maun.
